New Patient Information

This page contains essential information for all newly enrolled patients to our practice. This page might also be helpful for patients wanting more information about this website.

On this page you can find information on:

  • How to book appointments,

  • How to request repeat prescriptions,

  • What After Hours care is available,

How to book an appointment:

The Ashburton Health First website is unable to book appointments directly through the website. To book an appointment with the practice, it is preferred by staff if you call reception to book an appointment rather than send us an email. This is because ringing is more time-effective for both you and our staff. If you email staff asking for an appointment, you waste valuable time with correspondence and could risk having an appointment made at a later date compared to if you had rung.

Our Phone Number: (03) 308 1956

How to request a repeat prescription:

You can request a repeat prescription for your medications directly through the websiteClick the button above to find out more. Prescriptions normally take 3-5 business days to complete, so ensure you have requested a repeat at least a week before your medications run out. If you have forgotten to request, you can ask for an urgent prescription, but this incurs an extra fee

If you do not want to request a repeat using our website, here are four alternate methods for requesting a repeat prescription:

Write down your:
- Full name,
- Medications & dosage,
- And what pharmacy you would like the script to be sent to
On a piece of paper and take this into reception.

OR:

- Take pictures of your medication box labels and email them to us, along with your:
- Full name
- what pharmacy you would like the script to be sent to:
reception@healthfirst.kiwi

OR:
Send us an e-mail at
reception@healthfirst.kiwi containing your:
- Full name,
- Medications & dosage,
- And what pharmacy you would like the script to be sent to.

OR:

- Cut/remove the labels off of your medication boxes, compile them together onto a piece of paper, and bring them into reception

Please note we do not take repeat prescriptions over the phone.
